About Me:

Healing Happens at the Speed of Trust

I’m a licensed marriage and family therapist, a mother of two, and someone who has navigated her own chapters of  loss and reinvention.  I bring both professional training and lived humanity to every session I hold.

My Story

I became a therapist because I believe deeply in the transformative power of being witnessed without judgement.  That belief didn’t come only from textbooks.  It came from my own life.

I tried to figure it all out first in my head through my winding educational journey, that began with anthropology, took me half way across the world as a Peace Corps volunteer, and hours of late night reading. Where I landed, is in a chair that

honors the wisdom of the heart as well as the head.

I learned to name my emotions and cultivate wellness, through my large stack of journals and trusty guitar. My maroon yoga mat in the corner, where many teardrops have fallen.

I learned to ask for help,

especially at those transformative milestones where life was asking something different of me.

Like becoming a mom, of two incredible kids who teach me every single day about curiosity, courage, and the art of starting over.

Like going through divorce. That was a chapter that I was undoubtly NOT expecting.

LIke navigating perimenopause and finding love again.

Like a songbird…

All these touchpoints where I have learned to sing the blues

in a soulful way to build resilience and support others.

Believe me when I say, I know first hand what it is to grieve a future you’d always imagined, and to slowly, messily rebuild a sense of self.  I know what it is like to be told you are too much.

I don’t sit across from my clients as someone who has it all figured out.  I sit with them as someone who knows the terrain and what is truly at stake. I’ve done the hard work.  I know how terrifying and how necessary it is to look deeply at negative cyles, fears, and longings.

I don’t ask anything of my clients that I haven’t been willing to ask of myself. I understand the strange, quiet courage it takes to ask for help.

How I Work

My approach weaves together established, evidence-based modalities including EFT and IFS, with genuine warmth and deep respect for your unique experience.  No two people-and no two sessions-look exactly alike. What you can expect is consistent support in learning how to befriend your inner world, and then how to share it.

Beyond the Office

When I’m not in session, you’ll find me on the sidelines of a gymnastics meet with a book and some popcorn, or at home with my growing collection of pilates props. When I am not nerding out on personal or relationship development books, or dancing the 5 Rhythms with my local mindful movement group, I am spending time with my family, who inspire me daily.

Let’s Talk

The first step is often the hardest.  I offer a free 20 minute consultation so we can see if we’re a good fit- no pressure, no commitment.  Reach out to get started.

Bond, heal, play…

You are welcome here, in all of your variations. You are wired for love and connection. There’s no way to get this wrong.
